Who Can Join?
Most ages can participate in archery starting from around five and upwards. It allows people from all walks of life to participate or be competitive. Archery is a sport where the youngest to the oldest can experience a group atmosphere while enjoying a fun sport and make new friends.
How Can You Join?
We like newcomers to come and try archery before joining the club. It is necessary for you to contact a member of the executive committee prior to attending the club grounds.
Archery is an individual sport where people can be as competitive or social as they want. It tends to be like one big family when attending competitions.
Archery is good for getting out and about, challenges you mentally as well as physically at times.

The first shoot is free and Bow hire is available. The DDFA has a number of Matthews Genesis Bows and Recurve bows all with matching arrows. Some tuition is required (explanation of rules, shoot format and safety brief) so turn up early and introduce your self. The hire fee for club equipment is $30.00 for the day. A refund of $20.00 when all equipment is returned. $5.00 lost or damaged arrow fee applies, no exceptions.
Lessons begin at 08:00 and finish about 10:00. Enclosed footwear is essential on the day. Hats and sunscreen should also be worn.
Club Shoot Days.
Once you are preficient, you may attend our club shoot days. Registration starts at 08:00 am til 08:30 with the Shoot starting at 09:00 am (Nov - Feb 07:30 to 08:00 and starting at 08:30). Please allow approx 5 hours to complete the rounds, with a short lunch break in between.
- Cubs/Juniors* - $5.00 per shoot day,
- Seniors* - $10.00 per shoot day,
- Families* - $20.00 per shoot day,
- Non Members Cubs/Juniors# - $10.00 per shoot day, and
- Non Members Seniors# - $15.00 per shoot day.
